No scales at the gym again, so I don't know how my weight is doing. It feels OK!

Today I ran 4 km in 20 minutes. That's the same speed as runnng the 2.4 km in 12 minutes.

There's a 20 minute time-limit on the treadmills at the gym, so I can't try to run longer, but I can try to run faster. If I run 5 km in 20 minutes, I'l be running very fast.

Today I ran the mile-and-a-half in less than 11 minutes, and the two miles in less than 15.

My heart rate reached 180 bpm. This is the highest I've seen it yet, I think. This was over-exercise, but I should recover from it.

No good news on the weight-loss front.

They got new scales at the gym. I think the old ones weighed a little too low, that's why my weight is up. This one agrees better with the health station one. Or else I've grown a lot of muscle in a week. Or perhaps invisible fat. Or I'm fooling myself.

No weight this week. The scales a the gym broke down and has not been replaced yet.

But that's OK because I think it's time to try a new size of jeans.

Oops! I almost gave myself blisters on my feet by running on the treadmill in my socks.

I have a cold this week, so no gym for me, and because I weigh myself at the gym, no weighing either. I might get started again next week.

Today I ran 3.2 km (that's two miles) in 16 minutes on the treadmill.

I really like it that the weight graph is showing a downward trend again. :-)

The machine at the gym says my body fat percentage is now 25.1%. This is just about the upper limit of what's acceptable, according to Wikipedia.

Wow! I don't seem to have picked up weight during the summer holidays! Indeed, my weight loss over the holidays is just about in line with the average loss since I joined Traineo.

My BMI is now 29.9, so I'm no longer classified as obese, now I'm just overweight.

Despite being on holiday, I went running three times this week. Real running, not the treadmill thing. I'm proud of myself, but also a bit surprised.

I'm not logging weight, because I don't have a scale that is accurate enough. I'm not very optimistic about losing weight, but with a little bit of luck I'll be able to maintain my weight and not reverse my losses much.

I was supposed to have weighed 92 kg today. That was my goal. But I'm still 4 kg away from that. I'm still amazed that I've actually lost 4 kg, even if it took three months. I've started occasionally wearing a size smaller trousers.

This week I twice ran the 1.5 miles in less than 12 minutes without dying or cheating. This has been a goal for a while.

Last night I was taken to an all-you-can-eat buffet. I did not eat as much as I can.

Today I tried the 'fitness test' program on the gym stationary bicycle. Only 5 minutes, but I almost died. Afterwards it said Fitness level = 53 on the screen and then 'Elite'. I'll take that for what is seems to be.

Mostly bad news on the weight-loss front. I haven't been to the gym at all this week, despite two days back at work.

While I was away I had no exercise (except for a long stroll on the beach), but then again I did not have a free moment. I ate too much, and too many take-aways.

We'll see what the damage is when I weigh myself at the gym next week.

Four times gym this week: not too bad. I might be able to fit in some more exercise while I away: a run on the beach perhaps?

I'll see how disciplined I can be in my eating this weekend: but don't worry, I won't spoil the festivities for myself!

I've been to the gym only three times this week. It would have been only four times, because Monday was a public holiday, but I forgot my membership card in Bronkhorstspruit! They only allow three consecutive accesses without a card.

The next two weeks will be a good opportunity to see if I can exercise and eat properly under non-routine and with festivities!
